Skin Boosters at Celestial Cosmetic Clinic

Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to improve skin hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality. Unlike traditional fillers, they don’t focus on adding volume – instead, they work by delivering hydration directly into the skin to improve texture, radiance and overall appearance. It’s a good option if your skin feels dry or dehydrated, lacks radiance, or you’re concerned about fine lines or reduced elasticity.

Your appointment begins with a consultation, before treatment is carried out using a series of small injections placed strategically within the skin. Treatment typically takes around 30–45 minutes.

Skin Booster Treatment FAQs

Who is skin booster treatment most suitable for?

This treatment tends to suit anyone whose skin feels dry, dehydrated or just generally lacking in life – that flat, thirsty look that even a good moisturiser doesn’t quite fix. If you feel your skin lacks radiance, or you’re noticing fine lines starting to show more than you’d like, skin boosters can genuinely help, since they work on hydrating the skin from within rather than masking the surface.

Reduced elasticity is another common reason people come in for this treatment – if your skin doesn’t feel as bouncy or supported as it used to, skin boosters help improve that from underneath rather than adding volume on top. More broadly, if you’re after healthier-looking skin overall, or you simply want to improve your skin’s quality and condition rather than change your features, this is a great option to consider.

Skin boosters work well across several areas, including the face, neck, décolletage and hands – anywhere skin has started to look a little tired or dehydrated. As always, the best way to know if it’s right for you is through a proper consultation, where we can talk through your specific skin concerns together.

Skin boosters offer a genuinely different kind of benefit compared to most injectable treatments, because the focus is entirely on skin quality rather than shape or volume. One of the biggest benefits is deep skin hydration – the treatment delivers hydration directly into the skin, working from within rather than sitting on the surface like a topical product would.

This leads naturally into improved skin texture, with many clients noticing their skin feels smoother and more even not long after treatment. Alongside this, skin boosters help create enhanced skin radiance – better hydrated skin tends to catch and reflect light more evenly, giving a natural, healthy glow rather than a dull or tired appearance.

Increased elasticity is another valuable benefit, particularly for anyone whose skin has started to feel less firm or supported than before. As hydration and elasticity improve together, clients often notice their overall skin quality lifting too – skin simply looks and feels healthier from day to day, not just after a treatment.

Ultimately, all of this adds up to healthier-looking skin and natural-looking rejuvenation. There’s no dramatic change to your features here – just skin that looks genuinely well, glowing and cared for, in a way that never looks like you’ve had anything done at all.

Filler adds volume to specific areas of the face, whereas skin boosters focus purely on improving the quality of your skin – hydration, texture and radiance – without changing your shape or contours. Some clients have both as part of a wider treatment plan, depending on what they’re hoping to achieve.

This really depends on your skin and what you’re looking to improve, so it’s something we’ll talk through properly at your consultation. Many clients start with a short course of sessions to build up hydration, then move to occasional top-ups to maintain results.

Some improvement in hydration and glow can be noticeable fairly soon after treatment, but the fuller benefits build up gradually as the product works within the skin, so it’s worth giving it a little time to see the full effect.

Most clients can get straight back to their usual routine. Some mild redness, small bumps or slight swelling can appear at the injection sites and is completely normal – this usually settles within a day or two.

Most clients find skin boosters pretty comfortable overall. The needles used are very fine, and depending on the area being treated, a numbing cream can be applied beforehand to help with any sensitivity.

Before Your Appointment

Take a few minutes to look through this before your appointment, so everything goes smoothly and you get the most out of your treatment.

  • There’s no need to come without makeup — your appointment begins with a proper cleanse of the area, so arriving with makeup on is completely fine.
  • Please tell me beforehand if anything’s changed with your health, medications or medical history since booking.
  • Try to keep hydrated in the days running up to your appointment — good hydration helps your skin respond well and supports recovery afterwards.
  • Where you can, avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment, as it can increase the chance of bruising.
  • If you’re on blood-thinning medication or supplements — things like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oils or certain herbal supplements — try to hold off beforehand unless they’ve been prescribed, in which case carry on taking them as your doctor’s advised.
  • If you’ve got an event or occasion coming up, book your appointment with plenty of time either side, as some redness, swelling or small bumps are a normal part of the healing process.
  • Got a cold sore, an active skin infection, aren’t feeling your best, or have had another treatment recently? Let me know before your appointment so I can advise on the right next step.
  • Skin boosters aren’t suitable if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • If you’re unsure whether this treatment’s right for you, book a consultation first — we’ll go through everything together and build a plan that suits you.

Above all, my goal is for you to leave your appointment feeling well-informed, comfortable and confident in the treatment you’ve had.

Aftercare Advice

Aftercare is just as important as the treatment itself, so please take a moment to read through this before you head off.

  • Try not to touch, rub or press on the treated area for the first 24 hours.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
  • Skip alcohol for 24 hours, as it can increase the likelihood of bruising and swelling.
  • Leave makeup off the treated area for at least 12 hours, unless I’ve advised otherwise.
  • Keep drinking plenty of water and stay well hydrated afterwards — this supports your skin’s overall health and encourages the best possible results.
  • Some redness, swelling or small bumps at the injection sites are completely normal after this treatment and usually settle within a few days.
  • Sleeping slightly elevated for the first night can help reduce any swelling.
  • Leave at least two weeks before further facial treatments, massage, or applying pressure to the area, unless I’ve told you otherwise.
  • Keep the area clean and follow any specific aftercare advice given at your appointment.
  • Results build gradually as your skin’s natural regeneration process takes place, so it’s worth being patient — the full effect typically develops over the following weeks rather than appearing straightaway.
  • If anything worries you following treatment, get in touch right away — your safety and comfort always come first.

More than anything, I want you to feel supported, well-informed and properly looked after at every stage of your treatment.
